Best Photo Spots at The White Barn at Padgett Place in Laceys Spring, AL

We know that wedding photos tell your story for years to come. You'll look back at them with your children, share them with friends, and relive the emotions of your day. That's why we designed The White Barn at Padgett Place with photographers in mind. Our 33-acre property offers something different at every corner, from intimate lakeside moments to dramatic barn backdrops. You won't need to leave our grounds to capture the variety and beauty your photographer needs.

Photo Spots That Capture Every Moment of Your Day

Our property gives you natural variety without the stress of traveling between locations. You can move from the soft morning light in the bridal suite to the open sky by the water, then finish with golden hour portraits by the barn. We've watched hundreds of couples work with their photographers here, and the 12 hours of access means there's never a rush. Your photographer has time to find the right angle, wait for the perfect light, and let you relax into each shot.

The Gazebo by the Water

The gazebo sits right at the edge of our 10-acre lake. It's one of the most requested ceremony sites, and for good reason. The water reflects the sky behind you, creating a soft backdrop that works in any season. Couples often take their first look here, or return after the ceremony for a quiet moment together. Your photographer can shoot from multiple angles, with the lake and trees framing the scene. It feels private even though you're outdoors.

The Large White Barn

Our 6,800 square foot barn works as both a reception space and a photo backdrop. The exterior is clean and bright, with those classic barn lines that photograph beautifully. Inside, the mezzanine adds architectural interest. We've seen photographers use it for elevated shots during first dances or to capture the full room setup. The climate-controlled patio opens to views of the property, so you can step outside for natural light without leaving your guests for long.

Natural Landscapes Across the Property

The 33 acres give your photographer options. Trees line the property, offering dappled shade and seasonal color. The concrete aisleway works for outdoor ceremonies and also as a portrait location. It's simple and clean, letting you and your dress stand out. We offer three different arbors, so your photographer can frame your ceremony shots with the structure that fits your style. Some couples use all three locations throughout the day for variety in their album.

Indoor Spaces That Don't Feel Staged

The private bridal suite has natural light and space for your photographer to document the morning. You're not cramped or rushed. The groom's room includes an outdoor leisure space, giving the groomsmen a relaxed backdrop. Inside the barn, the large bar room and open floor plan mean your photographer can move freely during the reception. They won't miss candid moments because they're stuck in a corner.

Plan Your Photo Timeline with Confidence

We're on-site to help coordinate your day. Our team knows which locations photograph best at different times, and we'll make sure you have access to each spot when you need it. The paved parking lot and golf cart concierge mean your photographer's gear stays organized and your guests aren't walking through photo setups. You focus on enjoying the moments. We handle the logistics.

FAQs

Can we use all the photo spots on the property during our 12-hour rental?

Yes. Your 12 hours of access include the entire 33-acre property. You can move between the gazebo, barn, lakefront, and outdoor ceremony areas as your photographer's timeline requires.

Do you host multiple events on the same day?

No. We only host one wedding or event at a time. The property is yours, so you won't encounter another couple's photos or compete for locations.

Is the barn suitable for indoor photos if the weather doesn't cooperate?

The barn is heated and cooled year-round. Inside, the mezzanine and open layout give your photographer variety. The climate-controlled patio also provides covered outdoor space with natural light and property views.

Can our photographer arrive early to scout locations?

We schedule tours by appointment Monday through Saturday. Your photographer is welcome to join your tour so they can plan angles and lighting in advance.
